Registration
of Trade Marks:
We advise clients on and handle the registration and management
of trade marks on a world-wide basis. Marks which we have
registered include "Ole", "Candy Mix",
"Wimbledon", "Gary Player", "Arnold
Palmer", "British Open Golf", "TRI",
"CHUX", "OSO", "MASSLINN", and
"GRANDCELL". We also advise on issues relating to
the infringement of our clientsĄ¯ trade marks by others, and
on measures to avoid infringing the trade marks belonging
to others. In addition, we represent our clients in oppositions,
cancellations and rectifications of third party marks.
Registration of Patents:
We act for clients in applying for the registration of patents
in Singapore as well as in other jurisdictions under the regime
of the Patent Cooperation Treaty. This includes advising clients
on issues of patentability, and on the procedures, time-lines
and costs involved in patent applications.
Registration of Patents:
We act for clients in applying for the registration of designs
in Singapore as well as in other jurisdictions, including
International Designs filed under the Hague Agreement.
Copyright:
We advise clients on copyright protection for their works,
and assist them in the registration of copyright in foreign
jurisdictions where copyright is registrable.
Management and Exploitation of Intellectual
Assets:
We advise clients on strategies for the efficient management
and exploitation of their portfolio of intellectual assets
in order to extract maximum value from such assets, such as
whether to patent inventions as opposed to maintaining them
as trade secrets and whether to retain intellectual assets
for the client's own use or sell or license them. We conduct
regular intellectual property audits for our clients to ensure
that their intellectual property rights are fully harnessed.
We draft and negotiate commercial agreements relating to the
exploitation of intellectual assets, such as franchises, licenses,
assignments, technology transfer agreements, research and
development agreements, distributorships and confidentiality
agreements.
Intellectual Property Litigation
We advise and represent clients in civil and criminal proceedings
involving intellectual
