  Civil and Commercial Litigation and Arbitration:
We handle litigation and domestic and international arbitration work in a broad spectrum of civil and commercial matters, including disputes and claims relating to breach of contract; the sale and purchase of goods, shares, assets, businesses and real estate; tenancies; provision of services; employment; discharge of directors' duties; shareholders agreements; investment agreements; product distribution agreements; technology transfer and licensing agreements; advertising contracts; guarantees; banking and financial transactions; joint-ventures; corporate insolvency and schemes of arrangement.




Construction Claims:
We also handle litigation and both domestic and international arbitration work for major local as well as multi-national construction companies and specialist engineering companies, in disputes and claims relating to building contracts, turnkey contracts, civil engineering projects, infrastructure development projects, residential developments, construction of commercial properties, and the provision of engineering and architectural services. This includes disputes and claims over defects and deficiencies in work done or materials supplied; quantification, measurement and evaluation of work done and materials supplied; variation orders; protection of and damage to works and materials on site; liquidated damages for delay in completion; prolongation or acceleration of contract period; and architect¡¯s instructions, directions and certificates.



Intellectual Property Litigation:
We handle prosecution and litigation work in respect of claims for infringement of copyright, trademark and patent rights, as well as for passing-off, breach of confidentiality obligations, misappropriation and wrongful use of trade secrets or proprietary information, and for infringement of other forms of intellectual property or assets. This includes arranging for investigative work to be carried out by professional investigators; obtaining and executing Anton Pillar orders; obtaining injunctions and orders for discovery and to administer interrogatories. We also act for clients in challenging applications made by others for the registration of trade marks or patents, and in defending clients' own applications against challenges by others.




Torts Litigations:

We advise on and handle negligence claims, as well as claims relating to conspiracy, procuring breach of contract, torts relating to the use of land, trespass to and adverse possession of land, defamation and other claims in tort.



Strata Title Boards Matters:

We advise and act for Management Corporations and subsidiary proprietors in making and defending applications to the Strata Title Boards under the Land Titles (Strata) Act in relation to disputes between the Management Corporation and subsidiary proprietors, and disputes between subsidiary proprietors.



Employment Matters:

We handle claims and disputes arising out of employment and service contracts, including those relating to payment of salary and other emoluments, and breach of duty.



Matrimonial Matters:
We also handle all aspects of family and matrimonial matters, including divorce, annulment of marriages, judicial separation, and applications for custody and control of children, maintenance, division of matrimonial assets and protection against domestic violence.



Debt Recovery:
We handle debt-recovery work for management corporations of residential condominiums and commercial properties, and for other clients across a wide spectrum of trades and businesses. We place special emphasis on the need for speed of action, minimal cost to the client, and effectiveness of the recovery exercise.

Where the debt is to be recovered in another jurisdiction, we work in collaboration with our wide network of reputable foreign firms to pursue the recovery of the debt in that jurisdiction.
