  About Anne      
  Anne began legal practice in 1981 at Allen & Gledhill. In 1988, she co-founded Koh & Choo,
a firm which soon built up a strong multinational client base and established a reputation of being a boutique firm specializing in corporate and commercial work.


In July 2000, Koh & Choo merged with Joseph
  Tan Jude Benny, and Anne became a Senior Partner of the merged practice, heading the Corporate, Commercial, Information Technology, Intellectual Property and Tax practice groups.

Upon disengaging from the merger a year later, Anne corporatised Koh & Choo to form CitiLegal LLC.
 
         
 
  Areas of Practice      
  Anne specialises in corporate, commercial and information technology law.

She has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, structuring deals, management
buy-outs, sale and purchase of shares and assets, restructuring of companies, joint ventures, private equity fund raising, establishment of hedge funds and employee stock option schemes, hotel management and related licensing contracts.

Anne also does advisory work for start-up companies on issues arising from e-commerce and related activities, telecommunications related work, IT related agreements including software licensing and distribution agreements, business interruption, network management and consultancy services agreements, hardware and software development agreements, reseller agreements and co-branding and outsourcing arrangements.

She also advises on tax where related to commercial transactions, stamp duty exemptions upon restructurings, and the structuring of Singapore companies to enable compliance with foreign tax laws.

Her regional work includes cross border transactions, overseas direct investments and joint ventures and mixed and resort development projects.

Anne serves as lead outside counsel for many major multinational corporations.
  Anne is the author, along with co-authors Chan Yuen Leng and Justina Soon, of the Singapore chapter of the book "International Stock Plans: The Practitioner¡¯s Guide to Exporting Employee Equity" published by Aspen Publishers, Inc.

Anne is also the author (with several contributors) of the Singapore chapter of the March 2003 publication of the book ¡°World Online Business Law¡± and its updated versions by Oceana Publications, Inc.

Anne was awarded the Asian Legal Business 2003 award for the Information Technology category.

Anne also serves as a member of the TRACE Advisory Council for Singapore, which advises TRACE on country specific issues. TRACE (Transparent Agent and Contracting Entities) is a non-profit membership association that specializes in anti-bribery due diligence reviews and compliance training for international commercial intermediaries.

Since 1987, Anne has served as the Chairperson to the late Justice Tan Ah Tah - SAWL Education Fund for Disabled Children. She also serves on the Law Society¡¯s International Relations Committee 2005.

Anne is a Commissioner for Oaths and a Notary Public.
